The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 enhances the capabilities of its predecessor with an updated Super 35 4.6K sensor, delivering 15 stops of dynamic range at 3200 ISO. Key hardware upgrades include a tactile external control set, a monochrome status LCD, and a built-in four-position ND filter wheel (Clear, 2, 4, and 6 stops) designed with IR compensation to match the camera's color science. The G2 introduces significantly higher frame rates, capable of capturing 4.6K at 120 fps, windowed 4K DCI at 150 fps, and windowed 1080p at 300 fps.

Recording versatility is expanded through a new USB-C expansion port for direct capture to external SSDs, alongside dual CFast 2.0 and dual UHS-II SD card slots. The camera supports 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in both "Film" and "Extended Video" modes, with compression ratios up to 12:1. For standard workflows, it offers industry-standard Apple ProRes recording up to 4444 XQ in various resolutions. The default EF mount is user-interchangeable with optional PL, F, and B4 mounts, the latter supported by a 12-pin Hirose connector for lens servo control.

Constructed from magnesium alloy, the G2 maintains the compact, ergonomic form factor of the URSA Mini line. Professional I/O includes 12G-SDI, balanced XLR audio with 48V phantom power, timecode, and reference inputs. Monitoring and camera configuration are managed via a 4-inch fold-out capacitive touchscreen running an intuitive OS with advanced tools like focus peaking and technical scopes. Power is supplied via a 4-pin XLR DC input, compatible with standard 12-30V sources and various professional battery plates.
