The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K features a 12,288 x 6480 Super35 sensor with a native resolution of 80MP, characterized by a symmetrical structure of red, green, and blue pixels and 14 stops of dynamic range. The system supports 12-bit Blackmagic Raw acquisition with frame rates up to 60 fps in 12K, 110 fps in 8K or 4K (via internal scaling without field of view crop), and up to 220 fps in 4K Super16. The camera is equipped with an interchangeable PL mount, with EF and F-mount options available separately for maximum optical versatility. 

The workflow is optimized by Generation 5 Color Science, which introduces a new film curve for superior color rendering in high-contrast scenes and natural skin tone management. Blackmagic Raw recording offers constant quality options (Q0, Q1, Q3, Q5) or constant bitrate (up to 18:1), eliminating the need for proxies due to the codec's efficiency in native editing. 

The hardware includes a magnesium alloy body with built-in ND filters, a 4" fold-out display, 12G-SDI input/output, timecode/reference, and XLR audio with 48V phantom power. For storage, the camera implements a flexible system including dual CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II slots — with a dual-card recording mode to handle bandwidth up to 900 MB/s — plus a SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port for direct recording to external SATA or NVMe drives.
