ALEXA 35: Super35 Standard and REVEAL Color Science

The ARRI ALEXA 35 introduces a 4.6K Super35 ALEV 4 sensor accredited with 17 stops of dynamic range (+2.5 stops compared to previous models, split as 1.5 stops in the highlights and 1 stop in the shadows). The system integrates the new REVEAL Color Science, which includes the updated debayering algorithm, the ACE4 color engine, the ARRI Wide Gamut (AWG4) color space—which is superior to Rec. 2020 but free of virtual colors—and the Log-C 4 tonal curve. The workflow supports the new ARRI Textures for in-camera look definition and ensures backward compatibility with metadata and color matching for ALEXA LF/Mini LF via REVEAL post-processing.

Technical Specifications and Recording Workflow

The camera supports 19 recording formats in MFX/ARRIRAW and MFX/Apple ProRes on 1TB or 2TB Codex Compact drives, with resolutions from 2K up to 4.6K and a frame rate of up to 120p. The camera body incorporates stray-light suppression technology and offers a native sensitivity from EI 160 to 6400, supplemented by the Enhanced Sensitivity mode for low light levels.
